John is a Santa Barbara native. He received his law degree at UCLA School of Law in 1978 and a Bachelor degree from UC Santa Barbara in 1975.
Mr. Parke’s practice focuses on civil litigation in support of the firm’s emphasis on real estate and trust law. He most enjoys the challenge of analyzing complicated matters and explaining them in a way anyone can understand. Although he has always relished trying cases, he recognizes the critical role effective representation at mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution plays in resolving most matters in modern litigation.
John is a long-time participant in local non-profit organizations. He likes spending his time after hours with his family on their small farm in the Santa Ynez Valley, breeding and showing Great Pyrenees dogs, and competing on horseback in fifty and one hundred mile endurance rides through the western United States.
