Chris’ love for Santa Barbara began in 1981 when he entered Westmont College in Montecito. He double majored in Philosophy and Literature and graduated summa cum laude. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley’s School of Law, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was awarded the Order of the Coif. He joined the California Bar in 1989, and gained elite-level experience at one of California’s most prestigious law firms in Los Angeles for three years before following his passion back to Santa Barbara.
Chris is a former national champion bicycle racer and brings the same dedication and drive for excellence to serving his clients.
Over the past thirty-five years, Chris has honed his legal expertise and real-world experience to focus on real property rights, especially the sophisticated issues facing owners and buyers in Montecito’s unique high-end environment. Chris advises clients on ownership and adjoining neighbor issues; guides buyers or sellers through title, contingency and other issues raised during escrow; drafts and reviews purchase agreements, easements, and other real property documentation; and litigates when necessary; solving problems and getting results.
Chris actively supports the Santa Barbara community and has served on a number of local nonprofit boards.
